The McMinn County Education Foundations supports education in Athens, Etowah, Riceville, Niota, and Calhoun, Tennessee through:
All children in McMinn County are eligible to free 60 FREE age appropriate books over a five year period from the Imagination Library. With the help of the Governor's Books from Birth Foundation who pays for half of the cost, MCEF sponsors this value early childhood reading readiness program for all children from birth to five years old. The success of this program is entirely dependent upon the giving spirt of each person, professional, business, organization and industry in McMinn County.

- Stuff The Bus
MCEF works in concert with The United Way and the Chamber of Commerce to host a community wide STUFF THE BUS each August. School supplies are donated by caring citizens, businesses and industry and then distributed to each school system in the county. It's a wonderful way to help provide needed supplies to students and teachers throughout the school year!
