IMAGINATION LIBRARY
Dolly Parton began the Imagination Library in Sevier County, Tennessee, in 1996 providing an age appropriate book for every child birth to five years old. It didn’t take long for other counties like McMinn to ‘jump on the train’ and want to provide their children with these high quality, hardback books.

Now, every county in Tennessee has access to this wonderful program and a wealth of friends like you  finance half of the cost of these books while the Governor’s Books from Birth program finances the other half.

The Dollywood Foundation manages the system to deliver the books once a month to each child.  We ask McMinn Countians to help by telling all new mothers about the program so we can enroll more children. Your gift of $12.00 will sponsor one child for one year and $60 will pay for one child to receive one book a month for 5 years!

Registration is now available online at www.imaginationlibrary.com

We currently have 89% participation, which in turn, affords McMinn County 3rd place as one of the highest counties in the state in Imagination Library enrollment. There are 95 Tennessee counties.
